Liquitex Professional Slow-Dri Gel Additive is an additive for acrylic paint that extends the drying time by up to 40%. This gives you more time to work with the paint, making it easier to create smooth transitions, blend colours and work the painting before the paint dries.

Slow-Dri Gel Additive can be mixed directly with acrylic paint or acrylic medium, giving the paint a fuller consistency while retaining brush and palette knife marks. The additive maintains the transparency of the paint and is well suited to glazing, layering and other techniques where a longer drying time allows more time to work with the paint.

The product is particularly useful when painting in warm, dry environments where acrylic paint can dry quickly. As Slow-Dri Gel Additive is an additive and does not contain a binder, it should make up no more than 25% of the final paint mixture.
