Airbrush Medium is ready to use and has a thin, pre-filtered consistency that reduces the risk of clogging and paint build-up around the airbrush nozzle. The medium increases the transparency of the paint and provides an even colour flow, making it easier to create thin, controlled layers, soft gradients and transparent effects. It can also be used with a brush to thin acrylic paint and create thin glazes and transparent washes.
The medium can be mixed with Liquitex acrylic paints and acrylic mediums. For airbrushing, Liquitex recommends starting with equal parts Airbrush Medium and Soft Body Acrylic or Acrylic Ink, then adjusting the mixture according to the chosen colour, airbrush nozzle size and working pressure. When using Heavy Body Acrylic, the paint mixture should be strained before pouring it into the airbrush to remove any undissolved paint particles.
Clean the airbrush immediately after use before the acrylic paint has time to dry.
