The body is diamond patterned but round at the grip. Smooth, well-functioning piston filling and an extra large tank that holds a lot of ink.
Parts of the 580AL are made of aluminium: the grip, the pump mechanism and some details.
The idea behind the design of the Diamond is to capture the simplicity and elegance of traditional writing instruments, but with a modern feel.
Steel nib in 4 different nib widths to choose from: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Calligraphy 1.1.
The pen comes in a gift box together with a disassembly tool. Ink is purchased separately in a bottle.
You may see a white substance on the pump mechanism of the 580AL, this is a lubricant that should not be removed when cleaning.
