To make cyanotype colours, you need the iron salts ammonium ferric citrate and potassium ferricyanide. After they have been mixed according to the instructions and allowed to rest for 24 hours before use, they can be used. The liquid is then very light sensitive and is activated by solar energy.
Try the liquid on paper, fabric or wood! The covered areas will remain chalky white while the solar energy transforms the exposed parts into beautiful deep blue designs.
Use nature as inspiration and collect leaves and flowers for printing. You can also create your own designs using stencils and stickers. The process is as simple as it is fascinating!
