This exclusive rough (Rough) watercolour paper pad contains 20 sheets of the highest quality, made in France. The paper is produced from 100% cotton using traditional mould-made techniques, resulting in an exceptionally durable surface that absorbs water evenly and consistently across the entire sheet. The pronounced texture creates a lively and expressive result, where pigments settle into the natural variations of the paper, adding depth and movement.

The natural white, acid-free paper ensures long-lasting preservation of your artwork without yellowing. With a high paper weight of 300 gsm, it withstands heavy water application and multiple layers of paint without losing its strength or shape.

The rough surface makes it particularly suitable for expressive watercolour techniques, bold brushstrokes and compositions where texture and movement are key.

This paper is produced by the historic French paper mill Arches, founded in 1492, renowned for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
