Important things to keep in mind
When art is displayed publicly, there is a shared responsibility. That’s why guidelines must be followed. Please read them carefully.
Your artwork cannot contain:
- Text or symbols.
- Political messages or misleading information.
- Discriminatory, gender-stereotypical, or objectifying elements.
- Pornographic or sexual content.
- Encouragement of drug use, alcohol, tobacco, orgambling/betting.
- References to violence or other harmful behaviours.
- Encouragement of vandalism or other illegal acts.
- Commercial messages or trademarks.
- Content that infringes third parties’ intellectual property rights.
- Content that discredits or ridicules any person, group, or subject.
Interpretation and responsibility
- We are unable to provide guidance on how these rules should be interpreted.
- We cannot review, approve, or reject artworks or ideas in advance.
- We reserve the right to decide how the rules are applied and may, together with our partners, reject entries without explanation.
- We don’t keep a record of submitted artworks, which means we can’t confirm whether a specific work is taking part.
Public display
- Once submitted, Pen Store cannot take responsibility for the artwork in any way, and it cannot be returned to the artist.
