Sennelier À l'écu contains 12 round soft pastels for artistic work. The pastel colours are made from fine pigments mixed with chalk and porcelain clay, giving them a very soft consistency. The soft pastels are easy to apply and blend, making them suitable for creating opaque colour fields, details and smooth colour transitions.

Sennelier À l'écu soft pastels are suitable for artists working with pastels who want soft, easily blendable colours. The pastels should be fixed after use to preserve the finished result. Due to their chalk content, they are not suitable for washes.
