HERMA is a German brand and specialist in self-adhesive products with a history dating back to 1906. The company was founded by Heinrich Hermann and began by producing embossed labels and product labelling for businesses. HERMA soon became both a label factory and a printing company, with the business growing as more and more companies needed labels and identification for their products.
When the First World War broke out, the company faced considerable challenges. Heinrich Hermann was called up for military service in 1915, and his wife Christine took over the running of the business.
