Caran d'Ache NEOART 6901 is an exclusive range of wax and oil pastels that combine intense pigmentation with exceptional lightfastness for up to 100 years. This is the first pastel in the world to meet the rigorous ASTM D-6901 standard, ensuring that artworks retain their colours over time without fading. 34 colours meet LFI and 14 colours LFII. Carefully selected pigments and very high pigment concentration have made this possible.

The unique blend of wax and oil offers a soft and velvety texture that combines the softness of wax with the rich colour rendering of oil, resulting in a powder-free surface with a satin finish. The wax and oil pastels are water-resistant and can be used on a variety of surfaces such as paper, cardboard, canvas, glass and wood, making them very versatile for different techniques and forms of expression. The pastels have an ergonomic octagonal shape that makes them easy to grip and handle.
