Luminance 6901 pencils are among the most lightfast coloured pencils in the world and have been developed for professional artistic use. The soft, wax-based cores have a high pigment concentration, delivering intense colours with excellent opacity. Their creamy consistency makes the pencils comfortable to work with and allows for smooth colour transitions, easy blending of different shades and the build-up of multiple layers. The pencils are ideal for everything from photorealistic portraits and botanical illustrations to detailed drawings.
The coloured pencils meet the international ASTM D-6901 lightfastness standard, meaning the colours offer excellent resistance to fading. An impressive 81 of the 100 shades achieve the highest lightfastness rating, LFI, while the remaining 19 are classified as LFII. The pencils feature a 3.8 mm colour core and are made from FSC-certified cedar wood.
The exclusive wooden case is crafted from light oak with a natural lacquered finish, gold-coloured fittings and the Caran d'Ache logo on the lid. Inside, the pencils are neatly arranged in four removable trays with protective inserts and straps for easy lifting. The wooden case provides practical and elegant storage, looking equally at home on the worktable or keeping the pencils protected between uses.
A complete coloured pencil set for professional artists and creatives who appreciate high-quality art materials. Also a thoughtful gift for anyone looking to invest in coloured pencils of the highest quality.
