Blackwing
Blackwing offers premium pencils with roots in the legendary Blackwing 602, which originated in 1930s America. Creatives with numerous Grammys, Emmys and Oscars to their names have worked with this American classic. After the pencils were discontinued for a period during the 2000s, Palomino set out to revive the much-loved brand.
The rectangular eraser gives Blackwing pencils their distinctive shape, and over the years the design has become synonymous with high quality. The pencils are made from premium materials – cedar wood from California and Oregon with a luxurious finish and a classic hexagonal shape that is comfortable to hold. The finishing touch is the premium Japanese graphite used for the pencil core. Thanks to its unique blend of wax, clay and graphite, the Japanese graphite is darker and softer than conventional graphite.
The pencils are available in four different grades, making it easy to find an option for both writing and drawing. Blackwing also releases limited-edition pencils every quarter, each featuring a unique design. Every series celebrates people, places and events whose creativity has made a significant impact. John Steinbeck and Ada Lovelace are among those who have had editions dedicated to them. If you find one you like, don't wait too long – quantities are limited.
Blackwing products combine clean design with outstanding functionality. The range includes not only pencils but also stylish accessories designed to enhance the experience. One example is the Point Guard, a protective cap that helps protect your pencil point from knocks and drops. Blackwing offers products of the highest quality without compromising on design – ideal for anyone who places equal value on both.
