Since 1975, Neocolor II Aquarelle has established itself as a classic in the art world thanks to its versatility and the intensity of its pigments. This anniversary honours 50 years of art and inspiration.
Neocolor II are high quality wax-based watercolour crayons from Swiss Caran d'Ache. The crayons are water-soluble, meaning they can be used both as regular crayons and to create watercolour effects when mixed with water, allowing you to explore a variety of techniques and styles.
Neocolor II are known for their intense and vibrant colours, smooth application and excellent lightfastness. They are ideal for both detailed work and larger areas of colour.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Neocolor II Aquarelle wax pastels, Caran d'Ache is launching 15 exclusive colours, all divided into five thematic palettes: Pop, Pastel, Lush, Portrait and Dark. Each range of 10 colours includes three new exciting shades. These Special Edition sets feature an iconic red metal box with an anniversary logo and a specific cover for each set that shows the colour spectrum of the palette.
The Dark palette offers intense colours such as brown, ochre and dark garnet, ideal for creating depth, contrast and dramatic atmospheres.
The set includes: 508 Payne's Grey 70%, 407 Sepia, 039 Olive Brown, 059 Brown, 589 Crimson Alizarin(hue), 225 Moss Green, 005 Grey and 3 exclusive colours: 526 Zinc Ochre, 096 Dark Garnet, 629 Caput Mortuum.
